About Lauren Stanbery
Lauren Stanbery was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended Lamar High School, after which she went on to graduate from the University of Texas. After college she came back home to Houston, where she attended and graduated from the University of Houston Law Center. Lauren had a passion for criminal law right out the gate in law school and quickly found her way to the Harris County District Attorney's Office. Lauren worked her way up in the office, quickly gaining trial experience. Lauren spent many years in the vehicular crimes division. While there, Lauren spent time leading investigations into intoxicated and vehicular manslaughters as well as trying many cases during her time there. She later became a district court chief, where she spent time supervising attorneys as well as handling a large docket and handling cases from violent crimes up to capital murders. Lauren's experience at the office taught her how to spot holes in any investigation and try the tough cases.
